Another recipe taken from BBC Book - 101 Pasta & Noodles Dishes. Tapi byk bahan2 yg telah diubahsuai dan tak digunakan. Maybe next time try to get the right ingredients so boleh dpt rasa Pad Thai yg sebenar seperti yg terdpt dlm resepi ini.
Bahan2:
125g rice noodles (medium size)
Juice from 2 limes
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (sy guna serbuk cili adabi)
2 tsp light muscavado sugar (sy guna brown sugar)
2 tbsp Thai fish sauce
2 tbsp vegetable oil
200g cooked peeled tiger prawns, tail shells left on
4 spring onion - tak guna, ganti dgn 1 mangkuk kecil frozen mix vegetables
140g beansprout - tak guna
25g salted peanuts, finely chopped - tak guna
small handful of coriander leaves -
Methods:
1. Put the noodles in a large heatproof bowl, pour boiling water over them and leave for 4 minutes, then drain and refresh under cold running water.
2. Put the lime juice, cayenne, sugar and fish sauce in a bowl and mix well. Have all other ingredients ready by the cooker.
3. Heat the oil and fry the prawns until warm through. Add the spring onions and noodles and toss to mix. Tip in the lime juice mixture, then stir in the beansprout and half the peanuts and coriander. Cook for 1 minute until everything is heated through.
4. Pile into a large dish, scatter with the rest of the peanuts and coriander, and serve with lime wedges and chili sauce.
