Sushi!!!

Dah lama sy bercita2 nak buat sushi sendiri. Sebabnya sy mmg suka makan sushi. Tapi nak makan sushi kat restoran Jepun kat sini, sy was-was. Dulu penah makan, tapi lepas tu ada org ckp org Jepun guna sake (sejenis alkohol) utk prepare nasi sushi and certain2 sushi pulak ada mirin (rice wine). So the better x payah la makan kat luar. Kat Malaysia tu at least dipantau oleh JAKIM, so kita sendiri kena la check ada sijil halal ke tak restoran2 jepun tu. Tapi harapnya Sushi King ada sijil halal, sbb dizaman2 dulu (time tak berapa nak concern, mmg selalu makan kat Sushi King)

Barang2 asas nak buat sushi pon dah lama dibeli beberapa bulan sudah. Tapi keberanian nak buat sushi tu x kunjung tiba. Sampai la bila kawan sy Ain buat dulu, baru la rasa tergedik2 nak buat!

Nori, sushi rice, wasabi dan bamboo mat utk gulung sushi

Nori

Kicap utk makan sushi...make sure jgn terbeli yg ada alkohol!

Sy cuma buat 4 jenis aje...which were tamagoki (egg roll sushi), california sushi, shrimp sushi dan cucumber & crab meat sushi (yg ini actually bahan sama utk california sushi cuma x guna avocado dan nori shj).

Clockwise: Nasi sushi, bahan2
california roll (avocado, crab meat, timun & bijan),
udang yg direbus dan dibuang kulit, egg roll

Dan sebenarnya amat mudah utk buat sushi ni (tapi bergantung kepada jenis sushi yg nak dibuat, 4 jenis yg sy buat tu mudah aje).

Kalau rasa nak buat, sila rujuk dibawah:

1. Sushi rice - refer HERE

2. Tamagoyaki (egg roll sushi) - please clik HERE

3. Shrimp Sushi - plese click HERE

4. California Roll

California sushi rolls. Cut 10 oz (300g) of crab (or surimi) into thin strips and mix with 2 tablespoons of Japanese or regular mayonnaise. Peel an avocado and cut the flesh into strips. Peel and remove the seeds from half a small-sized cucumber and cut the flesh into thin strips. Smear a small amount of wasabi in a horizontal line across the middle of each rice-topped nori sheet and arrange equal amounts of crab, cucumber and avocado on top. Roll the sushi up and cut into 1½-inch rounds to serve. As a variation, replace the crab with cooked shrimp.

5. Cucumber & crab meat sushi

Tuna* and cucumber sushi rolls. Cut a 10 oz (300g) piece of very fresh raw tuna into thin strips. Peel and remove the seeds from half a small-sized cucumber and cut the flesh into thin strips. Smear a small amount of wasabi in a horizontal line across the middle of each rice-topped nori sheet and arrange equal amounts of tuna and cucumber on top. Roll the sushi up and cut into 1½-inch rounds to serve.

* sy guna crab
